Dr Chelsea Watt is a Specialist Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Sonologist providing comprehensive pregnancy, birth and women's healthcare on the Southern Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales. She is passionate about delivering personalised care and building strong relationships with the women and families she cares for.

She completed her specialist training across Queensland and New South Wales, working in regional, rural and tertiary referral hospitals. This breadth of experience has shaped her ability to manage both routine and highly complex presentations with clarity and confidence. Exposure to diverse healthcare settings, from remote communities to high-acuity tertiary centres, has strengthened her clinical judgement, adaptability and collaborative approach to women’s health.

With advanced training in high-risk obstetrics and diagnostic ultrasound, she developed a particular strength in navigating complexity, understanding not only the medical detail, but the human experience surrounding it. She is known for her calm presence in high-stakes moments, her clarity when situations feel overwhelming, and her ability to communicate with steadiness and compassion.

Having grown up connected to the Southern Gold Coast and now raising her own family here, Dr Watt’s commitment to the region is deeply personal. After years of training and practice, Dr Watt chose to return to the Southern Gold Coast to raise her family and to contribute meaningfully to women’s health services in the region she calls home. She understands firsthand the significance of having trusted, high-quality care close to home.

As a mother of two young children, Dr Watt brings an added dimension of empathy and perspective to her work. Motherhood has strengthened her appreciation for the vulnerability, strength and complexity that accompany pregnancy, birth and parenting. It informs the way she listens, the way she reassures, and the way she advocates for women in her care.

Dr Watt believes exceptional care is not simply about expertise but it is founded in true partnership and connection. She prioritises transparency, shared decision-making and trauma-informed communication, ensuring women feel informed, supported and respected at every stage of their journey. Her commitment is long-term and focused not only on individual patient care, but on strengthening local maternity and gynaecological services for future generations.
